ABOUT

TOM CHUNG-MOU TENG

While studying at the American Film Institute, Tom wrote and co-produced the Mandarin feature The Brotherhood of Legio, a sci-fi thriller selected for the Golden Horse Film Festival the following year. After AFI, he wrote and directed Danny, a short suspense thriller that won Best Film, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Original Score at the L.A. Film Reel Competition. Since returning to Taiwan, Tom has directed and won international awards for a diverse range of projects, including narratives, documentaries, animation, immersive theater, and VR shorts. In 2020, he directed his first feature, Life for Sale, which was invited to the New York Asian Film Festival and selected for competition at both L’Étrange Festival in Paris and the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.

Tom founded Old Boy Entertainment in 2019 with a mission to push the boundaries of storytelling. He believes stories come in many shapes and forms—and that the ways we tell them should evolve just as boldly. Whether through film, VR, animation, or immersive experiences, Tom embraces innovation and challenges the limits of traditional narrative formats.
